About this opportunity

The Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE) is a mandatory accreditation that higher education institutions must obtain to participate in Erasmus+ program activities. ECHE serves as a quality framework for activities within the Erasmus+ program and contains a set of principles that universities, colleges, and higher vocational schools commit to uphold. It also includes specific obligations institutions have towards participants before, during, and after a mobility stay. ECHE helps ensure quality in the activities that institutions participate in, with emphasis on linking Erasmus+ participation with the institution's own internationalization strategy. Once granted, the ECHE accreditation is valid for the entire program period (2021-2027) and does not need to be renewed.
