A.P. Møller Fonden accepts applications that can contribute to Denmark getting more professionally educated individuals. The foundation focuses on projects aimed at making vocational education more attractive to young people and/or helping more students complete their education. This can be achieved by strengthening professionally interesting environments and educational programs through new 'flagship' initiatives such as exemplary educational buildings that contribute to strengthening the quality and reputation of vocational education through visionary innovation of physical frameworks, possibly with the use of completely new technology and innovative pedagogical frameworks. The foundation also supports other strengthening of study environments, communities, well-being, and character development. Projects can also think in connection between school courses and apprenticeship courses, as well as in leadership and pedagogy. The foundation emphasizes that projects should be ambitious regarding study environment, well-being, youth communities, sustainability, and teaching quality, include experiences and attitudes also from young people, ideally encompass entire educational institutions and preferably go across multiple institutions in the same area, and be solidly anchored among participating educational institutions as well as other relevant parties and stakeholders.
