About this opportunity
The Eric Campbell Scott (Rural / Regional) Scholarship was established in memory of a late brother (and Honours graduate from the University of Sydney) to support students from rural and regional areas of Australia commencing studies in an undergraduate coursework degree at the University of Sydney Business School. The scholarship provides financial support to domestic students enrolling in the Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Advanced Studies, or Bachelor of Commerce combined with the Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science.
This scholarship is valued at $6,000 per annum and is tenable for up to 3 years for students enrolling in the Bachelor of Commerce, or up to 4 years for students enrolling in the Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Advanced Studies or combined degrees. The scholarship is paid in two equal instalments after the census date of each semester.
To be eligible, applicants must be Australian citizens or permanent residents who have successfully applied through UAC to commence an undergraduate degree administered by the University of Sydney Business School. Applicants must have attended a school or have a residential address classified under the Australian Statistical Geography Standards (ASGS) as inner regional, outer regional, remote or very remote prior to commencing enrollment. The scholarship is awarded based on demonstrated leadership skills, community involvement, and interest in Business.
Recipients must maintain satisfactory academic performance with a minimum Semester Average Mark (SAM) of 65 and enroll in at least 22 credit points each semester. Scholarship recipients may be invited to promote the program, represent the University at student welcome and marketing events, and fulfill the on-campus functions of a Business School Student Ambassador.
