About this opportunity
Concordia University School of Education offers the Erna A. Batterman Scholarship program to honor Mrs. Erna A. Batterman, who dreamed of being a teacher but had different plans in her life. These scholarships are presented to LCMS (Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod) church work students to help them fund their education and fulfill their ambitions for a teaching career. The scholarship program provides financial support for students enrolled in the Lutheran Teaching Diploma (LTD) track who intend to teach or work in a Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod school upon graduation. Candidates are selected based on demonstrated leadership skills and experience as an undergraduate student, commitment to the Lutheran teaching ministry, and demonstrated financial need. The scholarship supports students completing their first undergraduate degree who have been full-time students at CUW/CUAA for at least one year and are in their junior or senior year.
