About this opportunity
The Ernest J. Brennan Entrance Scholarship is granted to a student entering UPEI from a Prince Edward Island high school that is located in a rural community, based on the greatest financial need. This scholarship was established by David M. Brennan, CPA, CA (UPEI BBA '86) as a gift to his father, Ernest J. Brennan, FCPA, for one of his milestone birthdays. Ernest J. Brennan has a long history in business, government and community relations, having held the position of Deputy Finance Minister, served as principal secretary to the Honourable Catherine Callbeck while she was Premier, held senior positions in private companies, and served as a Board Member and Finance Chair of UPEI, Co-Chair of Special Gifts Committee at QEH Foundation, and as a dedicated member of the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. He is recognized as one of Prince Edward Island's unsung heroes in helping his fellow Islanders.
