Errett and Mazie Warner English Award

The Errett and Mazie Warner English Award is a scholarship for junior and senior students majoring in English at Eastern Illinois University. The award recognizes outstanding scholastic achievement with a minimum 3.0 GPA, exceptional character that reflects positively on the university, and considers financial need as a final criterion after reducing applicants to three finalists. Recipients must demonstrate academic excellence and conduct that brings credit to Eastern Illinois University. The award is announced and disbursed in the spring semester. Students are automatically considered for this award based on their completed General Application through the university's scholarship platform.
