ESP Scholarship

The Wisconsin Education Association Council (WEAC) offers two scholarships of $1,000 each to Education Support Professional (ESP) members to help enhance their skills or further their careers in the education field. These scholarships can be used for professional development in job-specific professional programs, courses, or certifications; study at either a two-year or four-year accredited institution of higher education; or participation in union-related leadership training. Recipients must be employed, active ESP members of WEAC with at least 12 months of membership at the time of application. The scholarship money is disbursed in two installments: half before the course or training upon proof of registration, and half upon proof of successful completion. The selection committee evaluates applicants based on reason for taking the class (30 points), union involvement (30 points), school and community engagement and other leadership activities (30 points), and financial need (10 points).
