About this opportunity
The Essex Community Fund (ECF) at Adirondack Community Foundation offers grants to nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations, schools, church programs, and local government activities serving residents of the town of Essex. ECF awards grants in support of community services, beautification, historic preservation, culture, the arts, education, and programs for youth and senior citizens. The Fund typically gives strong preference to capacity building grants or modest one-time capital projects and is especially interested in funding community enhancement initiatives. The Fund will typically not support general operating expenses. Grants are usually limited to $2,000, with grants up to $5,000 being awarded. The Charlie Goff Memorial Fund operates within the Essex Community Fund and embraces the same objectives and application procedures.
