About this opportunity

The Eureka Benevolent Foundation Scholarship provides financial support to rural and regional students who have experienced disadvantage. This scholarship was established by the Eureka Benevolent Foundation to support domestic school leavers starting their undergraduate degree at the University of Sydney. The scholarship is valued at $8,000 per annum and is tenable for the duration of the degree, up to a maximum of 5 years. Eligible students must have attended a rural or regional high school and experienced financial hardship or reside in a low socio-economic status area while meeting one or more categories of disadvantage including severe family disruption, excessive family responsibilities, personal injury/disability, refugee status, and/or challenging school environment. The scholarship will be awarded based on academic merit and financial hardship, with shortlisted applicants required to attend an interview.
