About This Opportunity

The European Innovative Teaching Award is an initiative from the EU Commission to recognize educational institutions that have completed Erasmus+ projects with excellent results. The award aims to encourage teachers and schools to reach important goals in the European Education Area. Up to four prizes per country can be awarded in categories including kindergarten, primary and secondary school, vocational training, adult learning, and a European language prize. The 2026 theme is 'Skills for life,' which aims to support the EU in strengthening basic skills across Europe, in line with the Basic Skills Action Plan. Institutions cannot apply themselves; HK-dir selects institutions with completed Erasmus+ projects according to criteria set by the EU Commission. The selection will be announced in September 2026.
