About this opportunity
The RCOG are seeking to support two UK based trainees to travel to Ireland for a clinical observership and to attend the 2026 ENTOG Council and Scientific Meeting on Global Women's Health. The European Network of Trainees in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (ENTOG) is a non-profit organisation with 35 member countries. The ENTOG Exchange Programme, Council Meeting and Trainee Conference was first established in 1992 in the Netherlands. The annual Exchange Programme is a key opportunity for European collaboration in O&G training, with two trainees from each member country participating in a clinical observership to diversify their experience and improve their understanding of different healthcare systems. Each year this Exchange is held by a different member country. The UK hosted this programme in 2023, welcoming 44 European observers to 19 hospitals across Scotland and England, culminating in a Scientific Meeting in Birmingham in collaboration with the West Midlands Trainees Committee. The bursary provides £1,000 each for two UK based trainees to contribute to travel and expenses for attending the clinical exchange attachment in Ireland and the ENTOG Scientific Meeting in Dublin focused on Global Women's Health.
