About This Opportunity

The European Union Postgraduate Scholarship is a partial scholarship offered by Edinburgh Napier University for self-funding students from the European Union. The scholarship provides a one-time award of £8,000 (GBP) for eligible students entering full-time postgraduate programmes. This scholarship is specifically designed for students who would have previously been eligible for EU fee status and are now self-funding their studies. The scholarship is available for students starting full-time, on-campus postgraduate programmes in September 2026. Students starting in January 2027 may also be eligible if their course duration is 18 months or less. Applicants must be domiciled and ordinarily resident in one of the eligible EU countries at the time of application. The scholarships are offered on a first-come, first-served basis and have limited availability. Eligible students are automatically considered for the scholarship once they meet the selection criteria, which includes making a £6,000 deposit payment towards their fees. No additional application process is required for this scholarship. Certain restrictions apply, including exclusions for students studying courses lasting longer than 12 months, those receiving other scholarships or discounts, and students enrolled in specific programmes such as MRes or certain MBA and MSc degrees. The scholarship amount will be shown on the Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) email issued for student visa applications.
