European Vocational Education and Training Initiative 2026

The European Vocational Education and Training Initiative 2026 supports high-quality vocational education and training programs that enable young people in Europe to become frontrunners in the digital and green transitions. The programme funds the development of training courses and educational pathways within these fields, provided by competent teachers in state-of-the-art facilities. Quality levers include introducing new methods such as problem-based learning, dual learning and student-centred pedagogy, with a focus on diversity in the student environment, recruitment and retention, and state-of-the-art equipment and facilities. The initiative funds new educational initiatives and teacher training, inclusive study environments and diversity in recruiting, and state-of-the-art equipment and facilities renovations. Projects must address either the green transition, the digital transition, or combine both. The programme prioritises projects that generate systemic impact, with learnings anchored and continued beyond the project period. Projects must involve relevant stakeholders and partners to achieve lasting systemic change. In 2026, the programme specifically funds projects based in France and Italy. The total budget for the call is EUR 12 million. Schools and educational institutions, civil society organisations, local innovators, and public authorities can apply. The foundation prioritises developmental, innovative, and long-term projects that preferably span several years to enhance the likelihood of success and achieve systemic impact.
