Eurostars call for projects – March 2026

Eurostars is a funding instrument that supports innovative SMEs and project partners by funding international collaborative R&D and innovation projects. Projects must be led by innovative SMEs and can access public funding for international collaborative R&D projects in all fields. The program requires international collaboration with entities from at least two Eurostars countries, with at least one organization coming from an EU or Horizon Europe Associated Country. Projects must focus on developing products, processes or services that can be easily commercialised with an exclusive focus on civil applications. For UK-based companies, Innovate UK covers up to 60% of project costs in grants for SMEs with a maximum funding amount of 360,000 euro per project. The project duration must be 36 months or less, and the budget of SMEs must be 50% or more of total project cost. Eurostars is part of the European Partnership on Innovative SMEs and is co-funded by the European Union through Horizon Europe.
