Evelyn Nelson Legacy Award

Established in 2017 by Inclusion Lloydminster, the Evelyn Nelson Legacy Award is available to students enrolled at Lakeland College in the Inclusive Post-Secondary Initiative program. The recipient must either be a resident of Lloydminster attending the Lloydminster or Vermilion campus, or have recently relocated to Lloydminster to attend the Lloydminster campus. The award recognizes students who demonstrate effort and progress in their studies, as well as openness to experiencing campus life and embracing learning at Lakeland College. This scholarship supports students in the Inclusive Post-Secondary Initiative, which provides educational opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities. The award is intended for continuing students who are actively engaged in their academic journey and committed to making the most of their college experience.
