About this opportunity
The NASA Postdoctoral Program (NPP) offers unique research opportunities to highly-talented scientists to engage in ongoing NASA research projects at a NASA Center, NASA Headquarters, or at a NASA-affiliated research institute. These one- to three-year fellowships are competitive and are designed to advance NASA's missions in space science, Earth science, aeronautics, space operations, exploration systems, and astrobiology. This specific opportunity focuses on conducting surveys of nearby star forming regions, with research including high angular and spectral resolution spectroscopy through observations and 3D modeling of continuum SED and multi-band images. The position involves working with data reduction and modeling, as well as developing ideas for new, related projects. The advisor is Project Scientist for the Space Terahertz Observatory (STO), an approved NASA ULDB balloon mission that will observe [NII], [CII], and [OI]. The fellowship is located at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California.
