About this opportunity
The E.W. Costello Entrance Scholarship was established in honour of Mr. E.W. Costello on his retirement as Chairman of the Board of Pembina Resources Ltd. The scholarship is provided by the Carthy Foundation on behalf of Pembina Resources Ltd. This entrance scholarship is offered every fourth year to a student entering the Faculty of Law, JD program at the University of Calgary. The scholarship is renewable in the second and third year of the JD program, provided the recipient achieves a minimum GPA of 3.20 over a minimum of 24.00 units in the previous fall and winter terms. Selection is based on academic merit, performance on the Law School Admission Test (LSAT), evidence of maturity, work experience, extra-curricular activities, and community involvement. This award provides up to $5,400 annually and supports one student per award cycle in pursuing their legal education at the University of Calgary.
