Excellence in Fine Arts Fund - Art

The Excellence in Fine Arts Fund - Art scholarship is designed for outstanding freshmen pursuing majors in the College of Fine Arts at Eastern Illinois University. The award recognizes students who demonstrate high personal performance and strong academic standing, with a particular focus on art disciplines including studio art, graphic design, art education, art history, fashion merchandising, and community arts. Recipients must maintain a 3.0 GPA and provide three references, two short essays, and a resume as part of their application. A digital portfolio showcasing representative artwork or art history research is required to demonstrate creative and scholarly ability. The scholarship is merit-based and may be renewable for subsequent semesters as long as the student continues to meet the established criteria. Students may be full-time or part-time, and both in-state and out-of-state students are eligible to apply.
