Excellence in Fine Arts Fund - Theatre

The Excellence in Fine Arts Fund - Theatre scholarship is awarded to outstanding and promising incoming freshmen who declare a major in Theatre Arts at Eastern Illinois University. The scholarship provides tuition assistance and is renewable for four years. Recipients must register for a minimum of 12 semester hours and maintain a cumulative 2.00 GPA overall and a 2.75 GPA in the department. Awards are given to students in various theatre concentrations including performance, technical/design, directing, generalist, history/literature or undecided. The application requires three references, four short essays, a resume, and a YouTube audition. Performance applicants present two one-minute monologues of contrasting nature and optionally 16 bars of music. Technical theatre applicants submit a portfolio with pictures and examples of their work. The award is paid in increments at the beginning of each semester.
