Excellence in Public Law Scholarship

The Excellence in Public Law Scholarship recognizes and rewards academic achievement of outstanding upper year students enrolled full-time in the faculty of law. Two scholarships of $10,000 each are available annually, with one award at the University of Alberta and one award at the University of Calgary. Recipients are selected by their university based solely upon their academic standing in their law degree program, with particular focus on course work in the field of public law, which includes constitutionalism (including federalism), the rule of law, and statutory interpretation. Consideration is also given to applicants enrolled in combined programs such as LLB/MBA programs. There is no application form required, as recipients are selected directly by their institutions based on academic merit.
