Excelsior Scholarship (UA)

The Excelsior Scholarship Fund was created to help bridge the financial gap for academically excelling college and vocational/technical school bound students who come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. This scholarship supports students who demonstrate scholastic potential, financial need, academic performance, and extracurricular activities and leadership. The program particularly encourages applications from students identified as emancipated and/or foster care youth. This is a one-time award, though past recipients and applicants are encouraged to reapply each year through a competitive process. An individual may receive an award from this fund up to a total of five times. All scholarships are paid directly to the recipient's post-secondary institution and must be used for the upcoming academic year.
