About this opportunity
This scholarship has been established to provide financial assistance to a PhD student to develop cutting edge methods to understand how and where people live in Sydney affects their risk of non-communicable diseases. The scholarship is offered to students enrolled full-time in a PhD within the School of Public Health within the Faculty of Medicine and Health at the University of Sydney. Recipients must be supervised by Associate Professor Luke Knibbs and demonstrate high-level proficiency in statistical packages (R, SAS, or Stata), GIS software, and Python programming. The scholarship provides a stipend allowance to support the student's research over the course of their doctoral studies, with the aim of advancing understanding of environmental and social determinants of health in urban populations.
