About this opportunity
Explore is an intensive, government-funded immersion program that allows Canadian youth to learn or improve their French-speaking skills while experiencing a different local culture and way of life in another part of Canada. The program is offered during spring and summer sessions at accredited institutions across the country, with students living on campus or with local host families. The program includes French language instruction both inside and outside the classroom, themed workshops, cultural activities, and evening and weekend events. Sessions are available for students aged 13 to 15 (19-21 days) and students aged 16 and older (31-33 days). The program is funded by the Government of Canada and covers tuition fees, instructional materials, meals, lodging, workshops, and cultural activities. Participants only pay a nonrefundable registration fee, travel expenses, and personal spending money. Virtual learning options are also available for those unable to travel.
