About This Opportunity

ExtremeTerrain offers two $2,500 scholarships annually to students pursuing degrees in environmental fields related to land use and conservation. One scholarship is awarded for the fall semester and another for the spring semester each year. The program aims to raise awareness for recreational use of public lands while supporting students working towards careers in environmental and recreational land use planning. Applicants must submit a 700-1500 word essay describing who they are, why they believe it is important to maintain access to public lands for recreational use, and how they plan to use their degree to advocate for recreational use of public lands. The scholarship payment is sent directly to the winner's school as a tuition payment.
