F Hallett Rural Practicum Bursary

The F Hallett Rural Practicum Bursary is a financial assistance award for Red Deer Polytechnic students who are completing rural practicum placements. The bursary provides $1,500 to support students enrolled in specific healthcare and education programs who must travel significant distances for their required practicum experiences. Students must be placed in a rural practicum at a distance of at least 100 kilometers (200 kilometers round trip) from Red Deer Polytechnic. The award is based on demonstrated financial need and recognizes the additional costs associated with rural placements. Eligible programs include the Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Practical Nursing Diploma, Occupational and Physical Therapist Assistant Diploma, and Bachelor of Education programs.
