Fackförbundet ST's International Scholarship supports members who wish to conduct field studies abroad related to trade union work, democracy, and human rights. The purpose of the scholarship is to support members' international engagement and increase knowledge about trade union work's contribution to democracy and development. Student members can apply for scholarships to conduct field studies abroad that result in a thesis on topics related to ST's areas of activity, including trade union work, sustainable development, social movements, democracy, good governance, and human rights. Professional members can apply for field studies that do not necessarily result in a thesis but are assessed based on trade union relevance, such as participating in training, conferences, visits to trade unions in other countries, or other types of field studies to increase awareness of trade union issues in Sweden or internationally. The scholarship is awarded each semester and has a value of 20,000 SEK, which may be shared among multiple applicants. It can be combined with other scholarships such as Minor Field Studies.
