Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences Doctoral Research Travel Grant Scheme

This scholarship provides funding support for PhD students to undertake primary research involving significant travel outside of Sydney. The grant supports postgraduate research students in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at the University of Sydney to undertake primary research that cannot be completed without significant travel outside of Sydney. Recipients must demonstrate that travel is essential to the completion of their research. The scholarship is designed to cover research expenses expected to incur during the next financial year (1 July 2025 to 30 June 2026). Preference may be given to students whose research requires them to reside outside of Sydney for a period of time and/or who are in their third year of candidature.
