Faculty of Arts Scholarship for Studies in Humanities

The Faculty of Arts Scholarship for Studies in Humanities is offered annually to a continuing undergraduate student in the Faculty of Arts at the University of Calgary. The scholarship is awarded to students majoring in a program from one of the following departments: English; Classics and Religion; Philosophy; or The School of Languages, Linguistics, Literatures and Cultures, with majors in East Asian Language Studies, East Asian Studies, German or Russian. The award is valued at up to $3,000 and one scholarship is available each year. Selection is based on academic merit, recognizing students who demonstrate excellence in their studies within the humanities disciplines. The scholarship was established through a generous donation by Mrs. R.M.S. Owen to support and encourage outstanding undergraduate students pursuing their academic interests in the humanities at the University of Calgary.
