About this opportunity
The Faculty of Engineering Postgraduate Merit Scholarship is a postgraduate coursework scholarship valued at $10,000 for students commencing a Master by Coursework degree in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Sydney. Established in 2021, this scholarship has been generously funded by the Faculty of Engineering to encourage and assist students pursuing postgraduate coursework studies in engineering.
The scholarship is awarded on the basis of academic merit based on the candidate's performance in their previous undergraduate studies, with applicants requiring a WAM (Weighted Average Mark) of 75 or above. The scholarship is tenable for one year and is paid in two equal instalments after the census date of each semester. Recipients must maintain a minimum Semester Average Mark (SAM) of 70 each semester to continue receiving the scholarship.
No application is required as all eligible applicants who have an unconditional offer of admission by the closing date will be automatically considered. Preference is given to applicants who have not been offered other similar or higher value University of Sydney scholarships. The scholarship is not transferable to another school, faculty, or university, and deferral is not permitted.
