Faculty of Engineering Research Scholarship for Europe

The Faculty of Engineering Research Scholarship for Europe provides financial assistance to PhD students within the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Sydney from Europe. This scholarship offers comprehensive support for international doctoral candidates, including a full stipend allowance equivalent to the University of Sydney's Research Training Program (RTP) rate, academic course fees, and the Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF). The scholarship is maintained through satisfactory academic performance for up to 3.5 years with no possible extension. Recipients are automatically considered based on their PhD application materials and do not need to submit a separate scholarship application. The scholarship has been established to attract talented European students to pursue doctoral research in engineering at the University of Sydney. Funding is provided by the Faculty of Engineering and is subject to availability. Successful candidates are selected based on academic merit, curriculum vitae, and their area of study and research proposal. The scholarship provides comprehensive leave entitlements including recreation leave, sick leave, and parental leave, as well as the opportunity to conduct up to 12 months of research outside Australia after the first six months of study.
