About this opportunity
The Faculty of Engineering Research Support Scholarship (ERSS) was established to encourage and support outstanding higher degree research students at the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Sydney. The scholarship provides a stipend allowance equivalent to the University of Sydney's Research Training Program (RTP) stipend rate, maintained through satisfactory academic performance. For PhD recipients, the scholarship provides support for up to three years with a possible six-month extension. Master's by Research recipients receive up to one year of support. International applicants also receive academic course fees and Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF) coverage. The scholarships may be fully funded by the Faculty of Engineering or co-funded by external research grants or industry funded research projects such as ARC Discovery Projects, ARC Fellowships, ARC Linkage Projects, NHMRC grants, and other research initiatives. Engineering students applying for admissions are automatically considered for this scholarship, with no separate application required. Recipients must be willing to work on their supervisor's grant re-submission and must withdraw applications for other Research Training Program (RTP) funding upon acceptance.
