About This Opportunity

The Faculty of Engineering Women in Engineering Excellence Scholarship is a $15,000 per annum scholarship to support female undergraduate domestic students at the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Sydney. Established in 2023, this scholarship has been generously funded by the Faculty of Engineering to support and encourage female students to commence an undergraduate degree offered by the Faculty of Engineering. The scholarship is tenable for up to 4 years and is awarded on the basis of academic merit based on the applicant's performance in the HSC or equivalent, as well as responses to questions in the scholarship application form. Recipients must maintain a minimum Semester Average Mark (SAM) of 65 each semester to continue receiving the scholarship. Recipients will be expected to volunteer at Engineering Student Life events and/or mentoring programs to support student experience activities in the faculty. The scholarship may be held part-time due to extenuating circumstances such as medical condition or primary caring responsibilities, with the value paid on a pro-rata basis. The scholarship is transferable to a new degree or stream within the Faculty of Engineering with appropriate approval.
