About This Opportunity

Up to 10 entrance scholarships, valued at $4,000 each, are available for incoming undergraduate students in the Faculty of Environment at the University of Waterloo. These awards recognize students who have demonstrated strong academic performance along with meaningful contributions to their communities through volunteer work, leadership activities, and/or sustainability-related initiatives. Candidates must submit an online application describing their previous volunteer, leadership, and/or sustainability-related activities in their communities. The program is open to both Canadian/permanent residents and international students entering various Environment programs including Climate and Environmental Change, Environment and Business, Environment Resources and Sustainability, Geography and Aviation, Geography and Environmental Management, Geomatics, International Development, Knowledge Integration, and Planning. Applications are due in mid-April, and full details including the application form can be found on the Faculty of Environment website.
