Faculty of Health Teaching Assistant Award

The Faculty of Health Teaching Assistant Award recognizes exceptional teaching assistants in the Faculty of Health at the University of Waterloo. Up to one award valued at $500 is offered in each of the School of Public Health Sciences, Department of Kinesiology and Health Sciences, and Department of Recreation and Leisure Studies per term. Any current graduate student in the Faculty of Health who serves, or has served, as a teaching assistant within the current academic year is eligible. Nominations are accepted from instructors, students, and other teaching assistants who can provide specific examples of exceptional teaching quality, commitment to student learning and growth, clear communication skills, intellectual rigour, enthusiasm, integrity, and sensitivity to student needs. Nominations are accepted throughout the year with specific calls going out in December, April, and August.
