About this opportunity
The Faculty of Mathematics at the University of Waterloo offers up to ten scholarships to outstanding students entering any of the academic plans offered by the Faculty of Mathematics (excluding Software Engineering and Computing and Financial Management). These scholarships are specifically open to students with Indian citizenship who will be paying international tuition fees. The typical candidate will have a distinguished academic standing, especially in mathematics. Candidates will also be expected to demonstrate interest in mathematics or computer science beyond standard course requirements, including activities such as active membership in math or computer science clubs, enriched mathematics studies, employment or voluntary experiences, or hobbies as assessed through the Admission Information Form (AIF). Participation and achievement in student government, athletics, music, art, and other extracurricular activities are also considered. These entrance scholarships are valued at $20,000 CAD payable in two installments during the first year of study. No separate application is required; students are automatically considered based on their admission application and AIF.
