About this opportunity
The Faculty of Medicine and Health Course Material Scholarship was established in 2024 with the aim of providing support to students pursuing coursework within the Faculty of Medicine and Health at the University of Sydney. This scholarship provides up to $500 to assist students with the costs of specialised course materials or uniforms required for their studies.
The scholarship is awarded to domestic students who can demonstrate financial hardship by providing evidence of receiving a means-tested income support payment from Centrelink or another Commonwealth provider. Eligible payments include ABSTUDY, Austudy, Youth Allowance, Disability Support Pension, Parenting Payment (Single), and Carer Payment.
Applicants must be enrolled full-time in the first year of a coursework degree within the Faculty of Medicine and Health. The scholarship is valued at $500 and is paid as a one-off payment to help students manage the costs associated with required course materials and uniforms. This funding has been provided by the Faculty of Medicine and Health at the University of Sydney.
Students enrolled in Bachelor of Oral Health or Doctor of Dental Medicine are not eligible for this scholarship. Additionally, students who have already received this scholarship under the same award course cannot apply again.
