About this opportunity
This scholarship was established in 2025 to provide financial support to students pursuing mandatory coursework placements in rural locations within the Faculty of Medicine and Health at the University of Sydney. The scholarship aims to assist domestic students experiencing financial hardship while undertaking required rural placements as part of their health science degree requirements. The scholarship provides weekly financial support to help cover expenses associated with traveling to and staying in rural placement locations classified under the Rural, Remote and Metropolitan Area (RRMA) system or the Modified Monash Model (MMM 3-7). Students must be enrolled full-time in eligible health science programs including diagnostic radiography, exercise and sport science, exercise physiology, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, speech pathology, or nutrition and dietetics.
