About this opportunity
The Faculty of Medicine and Health Regional NSW and Interstate Placement Travel Scholarship provides financial support to students undertaking mandatory coursework placements within the Faculty of Medicine and Health at the University of Sydney. This scholarship was established in 2025 to assist students with travel and accommodation costs associated with placements in regional NSW or interstate locations that are non-rural classified areas. The scholarship is designed to reduce financial barriers for students required to complete clinical and practical placements as part of their health science, nursing, or nutrition and dietetics coursework degrees. Students must undertake placements that are more than 60km from both the University of Sydney and their residential address in locations such as Hunter New England (Cessnock, Maitland, Port Stephens, Newcastle, Lake Macquarie), Illawarra (Kiama, Wollongong, Shellharbour), Nepean Blue Mountains, or interstate locations outside of NSW.
