About this opportunity
This scholarship was established in 2024 with the aim of providing support to students who are registered carers pursuing coursework within the Faculty of Medicine and Health at the University of Sydney. The scholarship provides up to $3,000 to help support carers undertaking mandatory placements as part of their degree requirements. Applicants must be enrolled in a coursework degree within the Faculty of Medicine and Health and be registered as a carer as defined in the Carer Recognition Act 2010 with the University of Sydney Inclusion and Disability Unit (IDU). The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of applicants meeting the eligibility criteria and is paid as a one-off payment upon receipt of the Scholarship Acceptance form. This funding opportunity is available to both domestic and international students who are undertaking mandatory placements as part of their coursework degree requirements.
