About this opportunity
The Faculty of Nursing Entrance Opportunities Award is provided to students with satisfactory academic standing who are entering the first year of an undergraduate degree in the Faculty of Nursing at the University of Alberta. The award is designed to support students based on demonstrated financial need and academic standing. The program places particular emphasis on supporting diversity and inclusion within the nursing student body. Preference is given to students who identify as First Nation, Inuit, or Métis people of Canada in accordance with the Constitution Act, 1982, Part 2, Section 35(2). Additionally, preference is given to students who are members of equity-denied groups and students who are members of priority populations that support a diverse campus community.
