Faculty of Science Entrance Scholarships

Scholarships ranging in value from $500 to $1,000 CAD will be awarded to students entering Year One of a full-time undergraduate degree program in the Faculty of Science at the University of Waterloo. The program excludes Aviation, Optometry, and Pharmacy programs. Selection is based exclusively on the admission average, with no application required. These scholarships are offered in addition to the President's Scholarship Program. Awards are automatically granted based on academic achievement: students with admission averages of 95% or higher receive $1,000, those with 90-94.9% receive $1,000, those with 85-89.9% receive $1,000, and those with 80-84.9% receive $500. Eligible programs include Biotechnology/Economics, Environmental Science, Honours Science, Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Science and Business, and Science and Financial Management. The scholarships are open to both Canadian/Permanent residents and international students entering their first year of undergraduate studies in the Faculty of Science.
