About This Opportunity

The Faculty of Science Health and Medical Science Research Scholarship is designed to support postgraduate research candidates in conducting health and medical research in Australia. This scholarship is designed to fund high quality students to work with academics that have been awarded an NHMRC grant in the Faculty of Science. The scholarship may be either fully or co-funded by the Faculty of Science or external NHMRC research grants, such as but not limited to Investigator Grants, and Ideas Grants. The Scholarship provides financial support for postgraduate research candidates conducting health and medical research within the Faculty of Science at the University of Sydney. Recipients will conduct research related to available Faculty-nominated NHMRC projects under the supervision of researchers that hold the NHMRC grant funding the project.

Review process

The successful applicant will be awarded the Scholarship on the basis of academic merit, area of study and/or research proposal, curriculum vitae with previous research experience in fields relevant to the project, and personal statement demonstrating interest in the available NHMRC projects.
