Faculty of Science International Masters Scholarship

Scholarships of £6,000 are available to new international fee-paying students joining an eligible postgraduate taught masters degree in the Faculty of Science in September 2026. All postgraduate taught masters offer holders in the Department of Computer & Information Sciences, Department of Mathematics & Statistics, Department of Pure & Applied Chemistry and Strathclyde Institute of Pharmacy & Biomedical Sciences who meet the eligibility criteria will receive the scholarship. The scholarship will be awarded automatically to eligible students on receipt of deposit payment until 31 July 2026. No separate scholarship application is necessary. The scholarship is designed to support international (non-EU) students who are self-funded and enrolling on an on-campus, full-time taught masters degree in the specified departments. The scholarship value of £6,000 will be deducted directly from tuition fees and cannot be deferred, transferred to other entry points, or used for payment of a deposit. Students receiving full sponsorship from government offices or embassies are not eligible. Eligible departments include Computer & Information Sciences, Mathematics & Statistics, Pure & Applied Chemistry, and Strathclyde Institute of Pharmacy & Biomedical Sciences. Subject areas covered include biochemistry, biology, biomedical science, chemistry, computer science, forensic science, immunology, mathematics, statistics, microbiology, pharmacology, and pharmacy. Online degrees, postgraduate certificates, and postgraduate diplomas are not eligible. Students are only eligible for one scholarship per academic year from the University of Strathclyde. The scholarship application process is automatic for eligible students - no separate application is required. Students simply need to hold an offer of admission, meet the eligibility criteria, and pay their deposit by the deadline of 31 July 2026 to receive the scholarship.
