About this opportunity
The Farm Vet of the Future Award, also known as The Peter Clark Award sponsored by Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health, is a competition open to UK final year veterinary students intending on becoming farm vets. This award recognises and celebrates the talent of the next generation of farm vets. Entries comprise of a piece of existing work that demonstrates clinical knowledge and interest (such as a case report, herd health project, elective, or dissertation) and also 300-500 words on the student's view on the role of the farm vet of the future. The winner and runner-up are invited to attend the opening day of the Royal Bath and West Show where the winner is announced. The award gives recognition and encouragement to those choosing to enter farm practice, celebrating students who have demonstrated commitment, knowledge and communication skills.
