About this opportunity
The Farmers' Union Scholarship is a postgraduate scholarship for candidates who want to study agriculture or horticulture at Massey University. This scholarship originated from a donation by Sir James Wilson, the first president of the Farmers' Union (1902 to 1920), now known as Federated Farmers of New Zealand. The scholarship supports full-time postgraduate study in agriculture and/or horticulture fields.
Applicants must be graduates of any New Zealand university and be enrolled full-time at Massey University in a postgraduate degree or postgraduate diploma. The scholarship is awarded based on academic achievement and consideration of other scholarships or bursaries held by the applicant.
Recipients receive approximately $2,000 NZD for one year's duration. Multiple awards are available each year. The scholarship aims to support high-achieving students pursuing advanced study in agricultural or horticultural sciences.
