About this opportunity
The Fawn Ramsey Druggan Memorial Award was founded to honor the memory of Fawn Ramsey Druggan, a pleasant, good-humored lady with a quick wit who was born and lived in Sunbury, Ohio. Mrs. Druggan married Charles Sumner Druggan, an attorney in Columbus, Ohio, in 1908. She maintained a great love for Sunbury throughout her life, visiting her mother there frequently until her mother's death.
This scholarship provides recognition and encouragement for graduating seniors of Big Walnut High School who have performed exemplary community service in the Village of Sunbury. The award honors students who have demonstrated commitment to their community through volunteer service for which no compensation was received. Candidates must be nominated by another student, a teacher, an administrator from the high school, or a Sunbury resident.
The scholarship is administered through The Columbus Foundation and supports students pursuing education at any institution in the United States. It celebrates the spirit of community service and volunteerism that Mrs. Druggan valued during her lifetime.
