About this opportunity
The Felix Thornley Cobbold Agricultural Trust Entry Scholarship is designed to advance and improve agriculture, particularly through educating farmers and young persons in agricultural methods, developments and techniques. The scholarship is specifically available to students from Suffolk or the adjoining counties of Norfolk, Cambridgeshire and Essex who are enrolled in agriculture-related courses at Harper Adams University. The scholarship provides up to £3,000 per academic year towards tuition fees for years 1, 2, and 4. Applicants from disadvantaged backgrounds may receive priority consideration and may be eligible for an additional £1,000 per annum for personal expenditure of essential items, supported by evidence in an accompanying statement. Applicants must submit a statement of up to 500 words detailing the difference and impact that the scholarship would have on their time at Harper Adams University. The Trust works with Harper Adams University to select candidates and determine whether personal grants are justified.
