Fenton Arts Trust Grant

The Fenton Arts Trust provides grants for encouragement and support of the creative arts. The Trust receives between 300 and 400 applications each year and carefully considers proposals that fall within the limited scope of their work. Applications are evaluated based on whether they meet the Trust's criteria, demonstrate thorough consideration, and are clearly expressed. The Trust emphasizes that proposals must demonstrate adherence to any ongoing Covid-19 restrictions and align with what they support. Trustees meet three times a year to consider applications, with a minimum of 6 months typically elapsing before decisions are made and funds become available. In most financial years (April-March), almost all funds in the current budget are committed by the summer, so applicants are advised to plan at least half a year ahead. Approximately 60-80 applications per year (20% of total applications) are considered in detail by the Trustees, with successful applicants notified as soon as possible after trustee meetings.
