FGSR Graduate Student Online Conference or Travel Award

The FGSR Graduate Student Online Conference or Travel Award is intended to provide financial assistance to fully-qualified graduate students to attend conferences or events to present papers, posters or other creative work, related to their research. Effective March 2023, this is a pre-conference/travel award requiring students to apply before they attend or travel. The award supports graduate students at both Master's and Ph.D. levels who are presenting at academic conferences or events relevant to their research program. Students may receive this funding once at the Master's level or up to twice at the Ph.D. level. Students presenting at online conferences may be considered for refund of their online conference registration fees if they meet the full eligibility criteria. There are approximately 30 awards available for each competition cycle, with awards up to $1,000 each, depending on budgetary approval and at the discretion of FGSR.
