About this opportunity
This award is to support Indigenous graduate students at the University of Regina. The FGSR Indigenous Entrance Scholarship is a one-year, non-renewable scholarship designed specifically for entering Indigenous students in their first semester of a Master's or Doctoral degree program. The scholarship value varies from $3,000 to $16,000 and is paid over the course of three semesters (no more than 6 credit hours each semester), directly to the students' University of Regina student account to cover tuition and associated fees. Students must be fully qualified and maintain a minimum 70% average to remain in good standing. Applications by students are not required or accepted - nominations for this award are made by each faculty to FGSR based on the student's self-declaration on their application and academic standing and leadership. Recipients must complete Grad Thrive Plus GRST 801 by the end of their first semester and be registered in no fewer than three credit hours of course or thesis work pertaining to their program during the corresponding semester.
